Trnava Gate 2014
Trnava is going to open her gates again and welcome guests from not only Trnava region but from whole Slovakia and Visegrad countries to enjoy a few days full of folklore traditions, songs, music, costumes and dance. The International folklore festival Trnava Gate 2014 is being organized for the 13th time and it is focused on a revival of traditional folk culture and it is organised directly in the historical centre of the city. The festival has become the symbol of friendship, co-operation, and exchange of experiences between 4 Visegrad countries and is supported by Intenational Visegrad Fund.
As an innovation, this year will be organized “a big school of dance” – dance lesson for all participants and public of typical folk dance – GORAL dance.
Also foreign folk ensembles will shortly perform in another nearby villages and cities this year as a part of cultural exchange with local ensembles.
Finally a seminary dedicated to exchange of knowledge about history, traditions and way of running of the folk group of participating groups will be organized during the festival. You are sincerely invited and welcome from 15th to 17th August 2014.
